“Lucky to get in on a Saturday night!”
We were in Weston with my cousin, who’s a rather fussy eater, so when we mentioned Japanese she was a little dubious, but let’s say that after this, she can’t wait for her next encounter with Japanese food! We were in Japan last year, so thought that the restaurant did its best to be fairly representative of all manners of Japanese food, with a sushi bar, teppanyaki counter and regular tables. The restaurant was packed on Saturday night and we were lucky to get a seat at all. Tastes of everything were very reminiscent of the food we’d tasted in Japan, although my katsu curry was rather runny – and portions were much bigger than you’d get over there!

There aren’t too many good restaurants in Weston-super-Mare but this place is amazing and could hold its on against the best restaurants Bristol and Bath have to offer. Excellent service, Bobby is lovely, and the food and atmosphere are fantastic! Love love love it. Go.

“YO JO YUMMY JI JI FABUTALASTIC”
First time we had ever visited Yo-Ji, I was really nervous becasue I am such a funny eater, and do not eat fish at all. Don’t like the look, feel, texture, or anything to do wtith food.
However, I was totally mesmerized by the fish chef, to create such amazing plates of sushi was truly amazing. I had the chicken, loved it so much, go on give this restaurant a go it is amazing.

“Delicious authentic noms!”
Love this restaurant – fab food, friendly waiters, slightly on the pricey side but worth it!! I prefer main menu stuff not the buffet style dining!

Partner and I visited for the Sunday buffet, you help yourself to the selection of sushi and hot food then have choice of one main course cooked when you’re ready (chicken, pork or salmon with vegetables). There wasn’t a huge selection of hot buffet but the sushi was good, and varied.
At £20.00 per head I think the price is reasonable, the staff are friendly enough and the setting is comfortable – we will return again in future at some point, I’m sure.

“7 for dinner”
Rather than eat in at our hotel we ventured out to an eaterie one of our colleagues had been to before and recommended. Yo-Ji did the job. Fresh sushi and sashimi with lovely tempura were served and promptly devoured. We all enjoyed the meal and for a Monday night, the restaurant was relatively busy, always a good sign.

“Great restaurant, beautiful decor and fantastic food.”
The first time we went we were given a window seat which is ok if you’re out for a quiet ‘lovey’ night, but we moved to the seats in front of the teppanyaki grill. This is a great place to sit and watch the chef with high flames and appetizing aromas. This time they squeezed us in without a booking…

Eaten here many times and it never fails to please me. Food is amazing and if you can get a seat around the tepenyaki grill you get entertained by the chefs flambé. Drinks are on the more expensive side but don’t let that put you off. Overall a good selection of Japanese cuisine ranging from sushi to noodles

“Only Japanese in Weston”
Great to watch chefs cooking. Very reasonable set buffet lunch on weekdays. Not so cheap but one we keep for special occasions as we always order our favourites and are never disappointed.

“Fantastic food, great atmosphere”
We ate in here as a couple on a Saturday evening, as expected it was very busy. We asked to be seated overlooking the chef and I am glad we did.
It was fascinating watching the cooking, almost a show in itself!
We ordered a sharing platter including sushi and tempura prawns and vegetables, the food arrived quickly, was so fresh the raw fish melted in the mouth.
The starter was also a delicious salad, we tried the saki, never tried it before, but after the first few it went down well!
The biggest accolade I could give is that inside this restaurant you would never know you were in Weston, it has a lovely buzz about it.
Have already recommended to several friends

“Best Japanese restaurant in Somerset”
I have visited this restaurant twice whilst in weston -super-mare. The restaurant is lovely and the service is first class. The menu is varied with a selection to suit all tastes. It is a very busy place and it’s certainly advisable to book at busy times.
The restaurant does a good buffet on Sunday lunch and evening so this is worth a try for a reasonable price.
Well done to the staff here as they make you feel very welcome and they are so helpful.
We will certainly visit again.
